The Outpatient Therapist Contractor will provide assessments and treatment to participants and their families at the outpatient clinic within the guidelines of State, County and Managed Care regulations.
Provides appropriate psychotherapy to participants and their families/significant others that reflects an understanding of diagnosis, the function of presenting symptoms, trauma history and incorporates participant’s strengths and natural supports. Treatment provided must be evidence based or evidence informed and reflected clearly in recovery planning and progress notes.
Engages in ongoing assessment to determine the strengths and needs of the participant and natural support systems and incorporate into recovery and continuing support plans. Documentation of recovery goals and objectives reflect collaboration with participant, is strength-based and trauma-informed.
Regularly reviews and assesses recovery goals as indicated by State regulations and agency policy. Process may include re-administration of designated measures established by department for the purpose of monitoring progress and treatment outcomes including symptom reduction, quality of care, treatment satisfaction and quality of life
Develops, as necessary and in collaboration with the participant and participant’s family, a safety/crisis plan. This plan should include an evaluation of participant’s natural support systems and current continuing support plan. Documentation of safety plan must be present in participant’s medical record.
Collaborates with other involved professionals and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to the participants including case managers and primary care physicians.
Maintains clinical records utilizing Agency’s electronic medical records (EMR) system in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, state regulations and managed health care requirements.
Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely fashion as required by Agency policies and/or as requested by supervisor. Concurrent or collaborative documentation is strongly encouraged. All required documentation must be completed within 24 hours after services have been delivered.
Maintains and updates as needed all necessary clearances and liability to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
All contractors must consult one on one with the program’s clinical supervisor at least one hour per month. Contractors working with children must review monthly each case with the program’s clinical supervisor.
Contractors must participate in Interact’s Evidence-Based Treatment Training Initiative. If a contractor currently is not certified/credentialed in an evidence-based practice or intervention, he or she must complete the training and certification/credentialing process for one of Interact’s evidence-based practices. Contractors who are currently certified/credentialed in an evidence-based practice, must participate in at least one monthly consultation group. This group can pertain to the certification/previous training or general practice. Contractors must maintain their evidence-based skill set either through re-certification/re-credentialing or through ongoing supervision and continuing ed coursework.
Contractors will be paid the non-billable rate for 3 consultations (group and/or individual) per month. Contractors can request 4 consultations per month if provides 20 hours or more of direct service per week.
Completes all mandatory trainings (in first 90 days and then on a biannual basis prior to expiration) to maintain Community Behavioral Health (CBH) credentialing. Failure to do so will result in termination of this agreement and the ability to provide services to Agency participants.
CBH and Agency mandatory training topics to be completed are listed on attached Training Summary. Training Summaries should be reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with training requirements. A copy of proof of completion (i.e., certificate of attendance) must be submitted to program\unit supervisor. Access to RELIAS will be provided to assist contractors with meeting training requirements.
An Annual Training Plan and updated Training Summary must be completed by contractor and approved by the program’s clinical supervisor prior to yearly renewal of the Outpatient Therapist-Contractor Position Description/Agreement.
Contractor will not be reimbursed for training time unless agreed to by Agency in writing prior to training.
Contractor will provide Central Office Supervisor with monthly work schedule by the 24th of the preceding month. Any changes to schedule not noted on submitted monthly schedule must be submitted to the Central Office Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor in a timely manner. A two week notice is preferred with an obvious exception for sickness and family emergencies. Consistent inability to adhere to submitted monthly schedule may result in termination of this agreement. Every effort must be made to not cancel and reschedule any previously scheduled appointment.
The Front Desk is responsible for scheduling all appointments for the Greenridge Counseling Center. Staff is expected to refer all clients to the Front Desk to schedule or change appointments. Front desk staff will schedule and manage contractor’s schedule according to Agency’s Attendance Policy. Available direct service slots will be filled by the Front Desk under the guidance of program supervisors.
At least 90% of the contractor’s time when he or she is scheduled for an office, must be available to be scheduled for billable activity
Contractor will be paid an agreed upon rate per hour for face-to-face billable services provided. This rate will not exceed 50% of the CBH individual therapy rate. As a result, the Agency agrees to provide office space and support services including administrative assistance, phone, computer, access to RELIAS, IT support and office supplies.
Contractors will hand in invoices for services completed on a bi-weekly basis. All required paperwork, including progress notes and updated recovery plans must be completed before program supervisor will sign-off on invoices. Services provided under an outdated recovery plan may not be reimbursed. Invoices handed in 30 days after the completion of services must be approved by the program director.
For every 10 hours of direct service billed per week, a contractor may bill for 1 extra hour of paperwork time at the non-billable rate.
Agency agrees to pay contracted clinicians the non-billable rate of $15/hour for up to 8 hours of orientation/onboarding including Agency orientation and orientation to EMR.
Must participate in Interact’s Quality Improvement activities as requested including the participation in on-going outcomes oriented tasks.
Functions in full compliance with all policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws and Interact’s Code of Conduct. Must participate in Interact’s Compliance Program, including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to immediate supervisor or Compliance Officer.
Other job related duties as needed.
Adheres to safe work practices.
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Human service field, plus two (2) years experience of providing therapy to target population preferred. Must be clinically licensed or licensed-eligible in the Commonwealth of PA. If licensed-eligible, will obtain clinical license in no more than 2 years.
Certified in one or more evidence based treatments for use with target population or willingness to participate in Interact’s Evidence Based Treatment Training Initiative.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrates basic PC skills including keyboarding, working knowledge of WORD and comfort with Microsoft Office and web-based environments.
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work independently and remain organized and efficient while multi-tasking
Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed practices and principles of recovery
