Journey’s Way, Resources & Programs for People 55+, is proud to celebrate Older American’s Month. The theme in 2018, Engage at Every Age, encourages people of all ages to participate in activities that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Throughout the month of May, there will be opportunities for the members, staff, and community to interact, connect, and share.
Journey’s Way will be celebrating the many ways in which older adults make a difference in our community. The Arts & Aging Exhibit opens on May 14th-31st and will showcase the talent and creativity of artists and crafters of all ages. The community is welcome to view the exhibit Monday-Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm and also invited to attend the Artist Reception on Friday, May 18th from 3:30 – 5:30pm Special festivities will feature center artisans displaying and selling their creations including: weaving, beading, knit/crochet, quitling and more crafts! This month, the “arts” are in full bloom, the Center introducing two brand new classed, “Let’s Make a Quilt” and learn how to play the “Ukulele from Scratch”
Journey’s Way offers a wide array of programs for personal growth, fitness, nutrition, education, creative expression, volunteering, and resources and information for older adults. There is something for everyone at the Center, so we hope you will join us and Engage at Every Age!
