Interact provides effective and evidence-based assessments and treatment to persons of all ages with an autism spectrum disorder. We combine the expertise and resources of our behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities staff to offer the following:
Assessment and Diagnosis
Greenridge Counseling Center performs comprehensive assessments to fully understand an person’s functioning and help them uncover their full potential. We utilize the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R), the ‘gold standard’ for diagnosing autism. We also offer full-battery assessments to explore cognitive functioning, academic achievement, memory, and executive functioning.
Treatment
Greenridge Counseling Center helps every individual and their caregivers find the right diagnosis and work to develop an appropriate individualized treatment plan. We strive to provide effective treatment by using innovative, holistic, and evidence-based practices.
Individual Counseling
Greenridge Counseling Center employs caring and supportive clinicians trained in a range of evidence-based therapies for persons with an autism spectrum diagnosis. We also provide counseling for parents and caregivers.
Group Therapy
Greenridge Counseling Center offers innovative group therapy to help children and adolescents achieve their goals. Some examples of current groups include parenting workshops and Lego® social skills building groups.
Transition
Moving from high school to adult life can be a scary time for persons with an autism spectrum disorder and their families/caregivers. Our Day Services can help navigate the various systems to achieve the best outcome for every young person and her/his family.
Socialization
Interact’s Activity Center offers day habilitation services to help build life skills and provide a fun social environment for adults during the day.
Employment
We assist individuals to find and maintain successful employment. The program offers job development, placement analysis, individual training and on the job supports.
