OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Provide trauma-informed therapy to underserved populations on-site at community-based mental health outpatient clinic. This includes diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family therapy for a diverse caseload of youth ages 4-17 experiencing a variety of behavioral health issues.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide weekly client-centered, trauma-informed, individual, group, and family therapy.
2. With client consent, make concerted effort to engage caregiver/family in treatment.
3. Provide initial and ongoing assessment of presenting issues, diagnostic impressions, and recommended course of treatment.
4. Create treatment plan and routinely monitor progress in collaboration with client/caregiver.
5. Coordinate care with other involved professionals to ensure continuity of care.
6. Enter intake and therapy appointments into EMR at least 48 hours in advance. All scheduled time in the office must be filled with client appointments.
7. Meet performance metrics, including minimum billing expectations commensurate with scheduled hours.
8. Encourage consistent attendance by routinely reviewing attendance policy and providing weekly reminder calls. Discharge inactive cases in a timely manner to promote access.
9. Accurately maintain all client documentation. Enter progress notes within 3 days of service, including supportive documentation (e.g., treatment plans, safety plans, case management notes, briefs, triage notes, discharge summaries, no show or cancellation notes).
10. Refer for community resources including expanded mental health programming as needed.
11. Provide crisis intervention including safety planning as needed. This includes follow up and coordination of care when individuals go to the CRC or acute level of care.
12. Complete all mandatory training to maintain state, CBH, and NIAC credentialing.
13. Obtain EBP training or other training as requested. Actively participate in appropriate EBP consultation group(s), each held for one hour/month (if applicable).
14. Attend routine clinical supervision prepared to discuss current caseload, weekly productivity, and any relevant clinical or administrative questions or concerns.
15. Function in full compliance with all agency policies/procedures and federal, state, and local laws and Interact’s Code of Conduct.
16. Participate in Interact’s Compliance Program, including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to immediate supervisor or Deputy Director of Continuous Quality Improvement.
17. Maintain necessary clearances, continuing education, licenses, and certifications to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
18. Promote a safe work environment that embraces Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).
19. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Contractors must meet one of the following criteria:
a. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Human Services field.
(i) Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.
(ii) Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
(iii) Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience.
2. Clinical license not required but preferred.
3. Previous experience providing behavioral health therapy to children preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Required to show proof of Liability Insurance.
2. Must have valid Childline, PA Criminal History, FBI Clearances prior to seeing clients.
3. Willingness to be trained in EBPs that are appropriate to current caseload/clientele, with preference to candidates already trained in CBT, TF-CBT, PCIT or another EBP.
4. Upon licensure, a willingness to undergo credentialing for major insurances.
